Digital Access to Debit & Credit Cards

Starting January 3, 2024, the Credit Union will be offering digitally issued cards, so you can quickly and conveniently have access to your debit or credit card!

Why is this great?

The benefit of this feature will allow you to start using your new debit or credit card sooner while waiting for a physical card to arrive in the mail. This applies to existing cards, new cards, and replacement cards.

How does this work?

The process for digitally issued cards is quite simple. Once you see your new card in digital banking the card is activated! There will be a slight difference in availability between debit cards and credit cards.

  • Debit Cards: Your new debit card will be available immediately.
  • Credit Cards: Your new credit card may take up to 2 business days to become available in digital banking.

Once you have your digitally issued card, you can make online purchases by using the card details and entering it when making a purchase OR you will be able to add it to merchant accounts like, Amazon®, Uber®, Target®, etc.

Where do I find my new cards?

This new feature is only available within digital banking. To find your cards, navigate to Card Management > click or tap on your card > click or tap the “view details” hyperlink underneath the image of the card. From there, use the card details to enter the card information into your digital wallet (or online checkout) of choice. Once completed, you are able to make purchases in person or online wherever digital wallets are accepted.

Even if you choose to use your digitally issued card, you will still receive a physical card in the mail. The current process to activate your physical card remains the same. By activating your physical card, you will not have to change any details within your digital wallet or other online accounts.

Bottom Line:

Digitally Issued Cards give you the power to make purchases or payments sooner while you wait for your physical card to arrive in the mail.
